Taste of the Nation: A Premier Culinary Event
Mary Sue, Susan, and more than 40 of Los Angeles’ hottest chefs are
combining their culinary talents and a passion for helping hungry
children as they join with leading wineries for Share Our Strength’s
annual Taste of the Nation. This premier culinary event takes place on
Sunday, June 1 at Media Park in Culver City from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and
will raise critical funds needed to end childhood hunger in Los Angeles
and across America.
Enjoy delicious tastes from Border Grill, Ciudad, and many more while
sipping fine wines from around the world and strolling through the park.
The city’s finest restaurants will participate, including Table 8,
Providence, Sona, Melisse, Craft, Grace, Katsuya, Fraiche, Water Grill,
Wilshire, M Café de Chaya, Tiara Café, Akasha, Citrus at Social, and
Ford’s Filling Station.
An added bonus, Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Jonathan Gold will be
manning a booth based on his popular “Ask Mr. Gold” LA Weekly column in
which readers ask for his favorite, often unknown, restaurant picks. The
event also features an exciting silent and live auction of luxury
travel, food, and wine items, including five nights at Beaver Creek
Resort, stays in the Hawaiian Islands, a Las Vegas weekend at Mandalay
Bay, and a private dinner for four cooked in a beach-side bungalow. KCRW
DJ Tom Schnabel with be spinning tunes and Growing Pains star Kirk
Cameron will host the day’s events.
Tickets are $115 pre-order, $125 at the door, and $175 for VIP. Children
under the age of six are free and those under 15 are only $25. To
purchase tickets, call 1-877-26-TASTE or visit
www.tasteofthenation.org. Don’t miss this opportunity to eat, drink,
