Queen of the Elimination Challenge:
Mary Sue Wins $40,000 for Share Our Strength

Congrats to Chef Mary Sue Milliken for a successful run on season three of Bravo's Top Chef Masters! She is indeed the Queen of the Elimination Challenge, winning $40,000 for Share Our Strength and four elimination challenges, more than any other Top Chef Masters competitor to date. Mary Sue had the time of her life, and is honored to be in the company of Top Chef Masters King Floyd Cardoz and BFF Chef Traci Des Jardins, who Mary Sue likes to call Queen of the Quickfire. The entire Top Chef Masters experience reinvigorated Mary Sue's creativity and reminded her of the importance of challenging yourself; the results are always enriching. And now that both Mary Sue and Chef Susan Feniger are Top Chef Masters alums, we at Border Grill are proud to be the only restaurants in the world with two truly awesome and inspiring Top Chef Masters.

Top Chef Masters Finale Recipes:
A Flavorful Trip Down Memory Lane

Join Chef Mary Sue Milliken on a flavorful, season finale journey down memory lane, starting at the age of five. An adventurous eater even then, Mary Sue discovered a love for her Mother's steak tartare, the inspiration for her first course, Asian Steak Tartare. When Mary Sue was 16, she had an aha! moment at a dinner party, realizing she was destined to become a chef after taking a bite of shrimp mousse prepared by Greg Duda, her sister's friend and Mary Sue's future mentor.  Thus Mary Sue created a Duo of Shrimp a la Gregory with Shrimp and Chervil Stuffed Rigatoni and Shrimp and Crab Salpicon. And finally, to evoke the moment Top Chef Masters judge Ruth Reichl decided to become a food critic, Mary Sue crafted an Eureka Lemon Trio of delightful desserts, including a lemon souffle reminiscent of the one Ruth ate in Paris at age 12. Now Mary Sue challenges you to create your own flavorful trip down memory lane and share the tasty recipes and photos with us on Facebook.
